A Fresno City Councilman Reacts to Grand Jury Report
Council President Clinton J. Olivier will have reaction to today’s Grand Jury Report regarding the CCSPCA.
The Grand Jury investigated the contract between the City and County of Fresno
and the Central California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The CCSPCA terminated their contract with the city and county effective
September 30th. City and county leaders will hold their first Animal Control
Taskforce Meeting on May 4th at 8am in room 2165.
“Sadly, I am not surprised with the Grand Jury’s finding that the CCSPCA is not
being held accountable. I hope that the City and County can now move forward
and use these recommendations as we create new Animal Control Services,”
Olivier said.
A press conference will be at 12:15pm in room 2120 at City Hall. Please contact
Chief of Staff, Claudia Ruiz, at 801-7871 if you have any questions.
