Huge Power Outage in Fresno Area

The largest outage in the Fresno area is affecting about 1,400 customers in Clovis, in an area north from Nees Avenue to Copper, and east from Willow Avenue to Armstrong. There are reports of a power line down in that area. Please use extreme caution in that area until we can make repairs.

Another 800 customers are down in the area of Barstow, north of Ashlan between DeWolf and Del Rey. A tree has fallen into our line in that area.

Crews are working to repair both outages as safely and quickly as possible.

A strong wind storm is sweeping across Northern and Central California today and continuing through Friday, Dec. 2.

Wind speeds of 35 to 45 miles per hour (mph) with gusts up to 60 mph have resulted in falling trees knocking down power lines and poles, causing electric service interruptions throughout the region.

If customers experience a power outage, they should call PG&E at 1-800-743-5002 and take safety precautions, such as avoiding downed power lines and using flashlights instead of candles to reduce the risk of accidental fires. If customers experience a power outage, they should call PG&E at 1-800-743-5002 and take safety precautions, such as avoiding downed power lines and using flashlights instead of candles to reduce the risk of accidental fires.
